Since 2013, the band’s renewed activities have intensified with numerous concerts and festival appearances, and they’ve been back on stage more frequently since 2017, appearing at events such as Keep It True, the True Trash Fest in Japan, and the Czech Obscene Extreme, as well as numerous shows and tours across Europe.

In 2019, the trio finally returned to various studios, where they recorded 12 new tracks, which, in true old-school style, reflect the band’s range from speed blasters to metal anthems. To dispel any expectations that they’ve somehow reinvented the wheel, the album title already makes it clear what’s going on – and so this album is entirely dedicated to the 80s, or rather, the style the band already indulged in back in the 80s!

“80s Metal Band” is therefore not only a description that still represents SDI in 2020, but also the motto and title of their new album, which transports the listener back 30 years, like a journey through time. The mix by Føni Goedereis and the mastering by Peter Pluto Neuber (Primordial, Blood Red Throne, Manos) ensure that, despite all the nostalgia, SDI’s sound also fits into the new millennium!
